Meet Heather Perkins - performing Fri., October 14 at Electrogals 2011: Gals Gone Wired! (oh, and she founded Electrogals)

Heather Perkins is the founder of Electrogals, and is also Sound Designer, Composer and Mad Scientist at WaterDog Studio and Land-O-Newts! Records, where she makes music and sound for love, and for a living. With a healthy balance of digital fortitude and a home-spun DIY aesthetic, she believes in music as a part of everyday life. Her "365.52.12 Project," a year-long practice of daily music making -  taking place now on www.landonewts.com - reflects this.
Tonight, she is re-imagining "For The Wolves," a piece for Ebow and guitar that she debuted at the first Electrogals concert in 1995, along with an invocation using crystal, water and metal, and a piece for guitar, voice and…. Autotune?  She is honored and humbled by the creativity and generosity of every amazing woman taking part in this festival, and ever grateful for the support of audience, friends, and community. Thank you.
